Rivers United defender, Stephen Manyo, has expressed confidence in the team’s readiness for their CAF Champions League first preliminary round clash against San Pedro of Côte d’Ivoire.
The first-leg encounter is scheduled to take place at the Stade Laurent Pokou in San-Pédro on Saturday, with the Pride of Rivers aiming to secure a positive result ahead of the return fixture.
Manyo said the team has been preparing for the new season for over two months and is fully prepared for the continental challenge.
“We are prepared for the season, as we have been preparing for this for over two months now,” Manyo told the club’s media.
The return leg is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, where Rivers United will look to complete the job and advance to the next round of the competition.
