Afrobeats star Bella Shmurda recently opened up about nearly going bankrupt after blowing his early fortune on a reckless, high-rolling lifestyle.
The singer admitted to buying three cars at once just so he and his friends could cruise in a flashy convoy.
Beyond his own spending, Shmurda revealed he was bankrolling a house full of friends and their guests, which quickly drained his bank account.
Reflecting on those “unwise” days, he confessed: “I used to have a lot of money but I rushed things… I was just buying things extravagantly, things I eventually had no need for.”
Now wiser and more calculated, the artist says he carefully weighs every financial move before spending a single kobo of his new earnings.
He is now urging fellow artists and fans to manage their wealth with sense, warning that fame doesn’t last forever if you’re reckless.
