Mikel Obi blasts Enzo Fernandez: “No player is bigger than the club”

Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has slammed Enzo Fernandez for his lack of leadership and “disrespectful” comments following the team’s Champions League exit.

Mikel was particularly incensed by Fernandez’s public flirtation with Madrid and his blunt criticism of Chelsea’s tactics after their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Super Eagles captain questioned how a player wearing the captain’s armband could speak so loosely about his future and the club.

Addressing the midfielder’s behavior on his *Obi One Podcast*, Mikel stated: “That is not a leader… if you have leaders that players respect and look up to, you wouldn’t come out and make those statements.”

He emphasized that while frustration is normal, players must honor the club and the supporters who fund their lavish lifestyles.

Delivering a final, stinging ultimatum, Mikel added: “No player is bigger than the football club. If he’s had enough, put your hands up and f*** off. And we move on.”
