Former France and Manchester United defender, Patrice Evra, has declared that Nigeria’s striker, Victor Osimhen could be the ultimate difference maker if brought to Old Trafford.
The legendary left-back believes the Galatasaray forward possesses the exact spark and elite mentality currently missing in the Red Devils’ frontline.
Osimhen is once again attracting massive attention from top clubs across Europe following another sensational campaign in front of goal for the Turkish champions.
The lethal Super Eagles striker is no stranger to intense transfer speculation, having been heavily linked with heavyweight clubs like United, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Real Madrid over recent windows.
However, despite the intense multi-club competition, Evra is adamant that the Manchester board must do everything possible to secure his signature.
The former United captain is publicly urging his old side to decisively make a move for Osimhen to bolster their inconsistent attack, noting that modern football requires a deep, versatile forward line to truly challenge for major silverware both domestically and on the continental stage.
“Back in the day, we had four amazing strikers, and if you want to compete in every competition, you need more strikers,” Evra told Goal while reflecting on the depth of Sir Alex Ferguson’s legendary squads.
Evra concluded by highlighting the 27-year-old as his absolute dream signing for the club, stating, “But if I have to name one player, I’ll say Osimhen because I know he can make the difference.”
