Saturday, October 24, 2026, was a celebration of love, culture and glamour as Nigerian rapper Omoniyi Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, and his longtime partner Davita Lamai held their traditional wedding in Oniru, Lagos.
The ceremony, hash tagged DTTheUnion on social media, attracted prominent personalities from the entertainment industry. Among those present were Afrobeats superstar Davido, Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate, and social media influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Broda Shaggi and many others.
The couple showcased two stunning looks that are already trending online:
First look was Benin-Inspired, Davita wore a deep red beaded gown with multi-strand coral necklace and elaborate headpiece with veil, while Zlatan wore white traditional outfit with red bead fringe, layered coral necklaces and carved staff. He captioned it on Instagram: “IT’S TIME TO MARRY.”
At their second look, both changed to coordinated pastel Yoruba outfits. Zlatan in light green agbada with cream embroidery and dark green walking cane, Davita in pale yellow skirt and blouse with light green appliqué and matching gele.
The most viral moment of the day was Davido’s humility. Video shows Davido joining Zlatan and the groomsmen to do the traditional Yoruba prostration (Idobale) flat on the ground before the bride’s parents to seek her hand. In another clip, Davido removed his cap to greet Zlatan’s parents, a gesture fans praised saying “He was well-raised with good manners.”
Davido arrived in Nigeria Thursday from US, posting bundles of dollars on his Instagram Story with caption “Heavy weekend for my bestie” and arrived venue in white Rolls-Royce. Israel DMW posted full reception vlog with heavy money spraying.
