Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that maintaining his celebrity lifestyle costs him between $200,000 and $300,000 (about ₦300 million to ₦400 million) every month.
The award-winning singer made the disclosure during a recent livestream with streamer Davrel, explaining that the monthly figure does not include the expenses of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or other members of his household.
“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household,” Davido said.
He further noted that the amount also excludes spending on luxury items such as exotic cars and jewellery.
The revelation has sparked reactions on social media, with many fans expressing surprise at the enormous cost of maintaining the lifestyle of one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
