Technical Adviser of Abia Warriors, Imama Amapakabo has disclosed that there’s not special preparation for his team’s next fixture against Enyimba FC.
The Umu Chineke Boys will engage their city rivals for the Matchday 32 of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL encounter in Aba on Sunday.
Both teams have a contrasting targets heading to the game due to their positions on the log.
While Abia Warriors are aiming to push for a place on the continent, the People’s Elephants are determined to move far away from the drop zone.
Fans of both teams have high expectations from the game as the outcome would determine how either would fare at the end of the season.
However, Imama is unperturbed about the buzz on the derby.
The former Rangers’ coach also reiterated his team’s ambition to play continental football next season.
“Nothing is so special about it, it’s a normal game, it’s just the hype of spectators and expectations of everyone,” Imama the club’s media.
“It’s not just about this game to me, it’s about the next seven games.
“We have 21 points to play for, and we’ll play with everything we have.”
Abia Warriors currently sit in fourth position on the NPFL table with 46 points while Enyimba are 16th on the log with 39 points.
