Enyimba assistant coach Lawrence Ukaegbu has stoically accepted his side’s frustrating goalless draw against Warri Wolves.
Despite a spirited performance from the players, Ukaegbu admitted the scoreless result felt like a missed opportunity.
The coach pointed out that a lack of clinical edge in front of goal ultimately cost his team all three points.
“That’s football, it’s either you win, draw or loss,” Ukaegbu said while reflecting on the outcome with the club’s official media team.
He expressed frustration over their dominance failing to translate into goals, noting: “The outcome of the game is quite unfortunate because the opponent didn’t even create a chance despite the numerous chances we created in the game.”
The single point keeps the struggling Aba giants firmly entangled in the relegation zone.
Enyimba currently occupy a perilous position on the log, having managed just eight points from nine matches played so far.
They will look to turn their fortunes around when they travel to Lafia to face Nasarawa United in a crucial Week 10 clash this Sunday.
