NPFL: Plateau United announces new venue for Ikorodu City Clash over security concerns

Plateau United have announced that their NPFL matchday 33 fixture against Ikorodu City will now be played at the Lafia City Stadium.

The club said the decision to move the game from Jos was due to the recent security unrest in the area.

Gbenga Ogunbote’s side will host the Oga Boys next Monday, with kick-off scheduled for 4pm.

The Tin City club are, however, expected to return to the New Jos Stadium for their subsequent league fixture.

Plateau United currently sit ninth on the NPFL table with 43 points from 32 matches.

Ikorodu City, pushing for a maiden NPFL title, occupy third position with 52 points from the same number of games.
