Technical Adviser of Kwara United, Ashifat Sulyman, has attributed his side’s 2-0 defeat to Ikorodu City to hard luck and missed scoring opportunities in their Matchday Eight encounter in the Euromatch Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Sulyman made this known during the post-match press conference following the encounter played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Saturday.
First-half goals from Salami Faruq in the second minute and Ilechukwu Junior in the 36th minute handed the Oga Boys a comfortable victory, leaving the Harmony Boys disappointed on the road.
The Kwara United tactician expressed disappointment with the outcome but maintained that his team would continue to work hard to improve its performance and convert scoring opportunities.
He also assured the club’s supporters that the technical crew would intensify efforts to ensure the team returns to winning ways.
Kwara United will have the opportunity to bounce back when they host Abia Warriors in their Matchday Nine fixture next weekend in Ilorin.
The Harmony Boys will be eager to secure maximum points in front of their home supporters as they seek to recover from the setback in Lagos.
