Fuel price jumps again as Dangote Refinery announces ₦70 increase

Dangote moves into crude production as testing nears completion

Dangote Refinery has announced a fresh increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
The gantry price has been raised from ₦1,175 to ₦1,245 per litre, marking a ₦70 jump.

The new pricing takes effect from midnight on March 21, 2026.
It will apply to all pending and yet-to-be delivered orders.

In a similar move, the refinery also reviewed its coastal supply rate.
The price rose from ₦1,512,648 to ₦1,606,518 per metric tonne.

The company linked the adjustment to ongoing global geopolitical tensions.
These pressures, it noted, continue to affect fuel pricing worldwide.

Customers with valid Bank Guarantees will still be allowed to load products.
However, they are expected to pay the difference created by the new rate.

The refinery added that all outstanding payments must be settled quickly.
It fixed March 23, 2026, as the deadline for completing the balance.
