Technical Adviser of Doma United, Ayeni Ayodeji, has commended his players for their resilience and performance in their 1-0 victory over Inter Lagos in Matchday Two of the Euro-Match NPFL.
Doma United secured a narrow 1-0 victory over the newly promoted side at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Saturday.
Speaking after the encounter, Ayeni expressed satisfaction with his team’s response to the tactics and formation, noting that the players demonstrated their readiness and commitment on the field of play.
“The feeling was okay. We are glad the boys responded well to the tactics and formation we applied. It was not all about the tactics and formation; it was also about the readiness of the 11 players on the field of play.”
The Doma United tactician also lauded his players for their courage, resilience, dexterity and composure both on and off the ball.
“So, I have to appreciate their courage, resilience, dexterity and composure on and off the ball. Indeed, they really did well. It was a good performance.”
Sadiq Rilwan scored the decisive goal in the 71st minute to seal all three points for the Savannah Tigers.
The victory means Doma United have now recorded two wins from their opening two matches, following their 2-0 home victory over another Lagos-based side, Sporting Lagos, on the opening day.
