Benue School expels 11 students after viral assault video sparks outrage

The management of Seat of Wisdom Secondary School, Aliade, Benue State have dismissed 11 students following a disturbing assault that saw a young girl stripped naked during a brawl.

The school’s decisive action comes after a viral video surfaced online, showing the victim being humiliated and mocked by her uniformed peers while she struggled to cover herself.

The incident reportedly took place about a week ago in a secluded bush behind the school premises, away from the watchful eyes of staff during extension classes.

What began as a private grudge between two female students quickly spiraled into a chaotic mob attack when several friends joined the fray.

“They allegedly agreed to leave the school environment and settle the dispute in a secluded area… what started as a one-on-one confrontation quickly got out of hand,” a school source revealed.

The situation turned predatory as students tore at the victim’s uniform and underwear while others stood by recording the scene for social media.

As public condemnation grows, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has now stepped in, directing a full investigation into the students’ actions.
