Laolu Akande, former media aide to ex-Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, says Atiku Abubakar and President Bola Tinubu share similar political thinking.
He made the remark on Channels Television’s programme, *Inside Sources*, while reacting to Atiku’s claim that Tinubu is pushing Nigeria towards a one-party state.
Akande criticised Atiku, accusing him of weakening the PDP by going against its rotational presidency arrangement.
He, however, argued that both leaders approach power from the same perspective.
“Let me give you a picture of where our political elites are today… He is now accusing President Bola Tinubu and his party of orchestrating a one-party state in Nigeria.”
“So you can ask which is which? Both of them (Atiku and Tinubu) belong to the school of thought that sees political power as an end… they are not significantly different… we must separate partisan narratives from the main issues that affect the future of our country.”
