Former Kogi West lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, has warned that the economic hardship facing Nigerians will deepen if President Bola Tinubu secures re-election in 2027.
In a video shared on his official Facebook page on Friday night, the outspoken politician accused the current administration of remaining indifferent to the suffering of ordinary citizens.
Melaye argued that the policies implemented under Tinubu’s leadership have only succeeded in pushing more Nigerians into poverty.
Drawing from religious texts, he stated that citizens rejoice under righteous leadership, but suffer hardship when self-serving leaders take power.
He cautioned that the current economic strain is merely a preview of the severe hunger Nigerians could face during a second term.
Describing the President as dangerous to human welfare, the former senator urged citizens to resist another four years of the administration.
Melaye, a prominent political figure, remains a staunch ally of presidential contender Atiku Abubakar.
