BBNaija star Bella Okagbue has officially broken her silence regarding her publicized breakup with her former boyfriend, Sheggz.
Addressing the situation in an official statement on her social media page, the reality star explained her decision to speak out after maintaining privacy for months.
Bella revealed that she initially kept quiet because she strongly believed certain aspects of their romantic relationship should remain private.
She stated that her past defense of their bond stemmed from genuine love and a firm belief in giving people a second chance to change.
However, the reality star emphasized that believing in someone’s capacity for growth does not mean waiting indefinitely for that change to happen.
Exposing the contrast between their public image and private reality, Bella wrote, “The person everyone experiences publicly isn’t always the person you experience privately.”
She also directly addressed online discussions regarding marriage and the commitment ring Sheggz previously claimed to have purchased for her.
Dismissing those gestures, Bella noted, “A ring doesn’t fix what made a relationship impossible.”
Reflecting on the broken expectations that led to the split, she wrote, “A hundred promises. Not one fulfilled,” adding that she eventually stopped listening to promises and started paying attention to patterns.
Walking away without regrets, the reality star concluded her statement by writing, “So today, I choose myself. I choose differently, regardless of what comes with it.”
