Experienced Super Falcons midfielder Christy Ucheibe has officially parted ways with Portuguese champions Benfica following the expiration of her contract, Ribsmedia reports.
Ucheibe joined Benfica from Swedish club Assi IF in 2020 and went on to establish herself as a key player for the Lisbon-based side.
During her six-year spell, the 25-year-old made 179 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals.
She enjoyed remarkable success at the club, winning six Portuguese league titles, two Portuguese Cups, five League Cups, and two Super Cups.
With her Benfica chapter now over, Ucheibe is set to begin a new phase of her professional career.
She is also expected to be included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
