Atlas Lions of Morocco secured their place in the Round of 32 after staging a remarkable comeback to defeat Haiti 4-2 in an entertaining encounter.
Haiti took an early lead through an unfortunate own goal by Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou (Bono).
However, Achraf Hakimi quickly restored parity for the Atlas Lions.
The Caribbean side regained their advantage when Isidor found the back of the net, but Morocco responded once again as Abdelhamid Saibari equalised before halftime to make it 2-2.
Morocco dominated the second half and completed the turnaround through substitute Sofiane Rahimi, who scored the decisive third goal.
Gessime Yassine then added a late fourth to put the result beyond doubt and seal an impressive 4-2 victory.
The win confirms Morocco’s progression to the Round of 32, highlighting the resilience and attacking quality of the Atlas Lions after twice coming from behind against a spirited Haitian side.
