Spain secured their place in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a convincing 2-0 victory over France in the first semi-final on Tuesday night.
The reigning European champions dominated proceedings from start to finish, producing a composed display to move within one win of adding the world title to their achievements.
La Roja took the lead before the break after Lucas Digne brought down Lamine Yamal inside the penalty area.
Mikel Oyarzabal stepped up and confidently converted the resulting spot-kick.
Spain doubled their advantage in the second half when Pedro Porro latched onto a clever flick from Dani Olmo before calmly finishing past the French goalkeeper.
The victory sends Luis de la Fuente’s side into the World Cup final, where they will face the winner of Wednesday’s second semi-final between England and Argentina.
