The Oyo State Government has suspended the management and technical crew of Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso with immediate effect.

According to a statement issued by Oyetunji Oyedeji on Thursday, June 11, 2026, the suspension affects the club’s management team led by Mr. Olamide Ilupeju, as well as the technical crew.

The decision was conveyed in a letter dated June 10, 2026, signed by the Director in charge of the club at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Raheem F.A., on behalf of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Alhaja Wasilat Adegoke.

Despite the suspension, the Commissioner congratulated Crown FC, popularly known as the Ajilete Warriors, and their supporters for successfully avoiding relegation in the just-concluded 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

Alhaja Adegoke stated that the move is part of efforts to reposition the club and carry out a comprehensive structural review ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League season.

The state government assured stakeholders that necessary reforms would be implemented to strengthen the club and improve its future performance.
