Kwara United technical adviser Ashifat Sulyman has expressed disappointment over his side’s failure to convert their scoring opportunities in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Warri Wolves in Ozoro.
The Harmony Boys suffered their first defeat of the 2026/27 EuroMatch Nigeria Premier Football League campaign in the Matchday Four encounter, with Eventus Itolo’s seventh-minute free-kick proving decisive for the hosts.
Despite creating opportunities to get back into the game, Kwara United were unable to find the breakthrough as Warri Wolves held on to claim all three points.
Speaking to the club’s media after the encounter, Ashifat described the missed chances as unfortunate, while acknowledging the need for the team to improve their finishing.
The technical adviser, however, assured that the team would learn from the setback and work towards recovering the lost points in their upcoming fixtures.
Kwara United will have an immediate opportunity to bounce back when they host Nasarawa United in a midweek NPFL clash in Ilorin.
