Veteran Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, has revealed that he once received payment to pretend to have a physical disability as part of a staged healing miracle in a church.
Solade made the revelation during an interview with Feel Right News TV, published on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The actor said the incident occurred before he became popular in Nollywood, when he was still a student and had yet to establish himself in the entertainment industry.
According to Solade, he was approached to act as a cripple during a purported healing session and agreed to participate for money.
Recalling the experience, he said:
“I have been used for miracle then, when I was not popular.
I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student. The people involved are still alive; I don’t just want to mention names.”
The veteran actor’s revelation has sparked reactions, particularly over the alleged use of staged miracles in religious settings.
