President Bola Tinubu has strongly condemned the deadly assault on Naridon Village in Kaduna State, ordering security agencies to track down the killers and rescue abducted victims.
Armed attackers struck Kamaru Ward in Kauru Local Government Area during the early hours of Monday, killing around 30 people—including women and children—and setting multiple homes ablaze.
Reacting through a statement released Tuesday by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, the President denounced the bloodshed as a “barbaric and cowardly act of terror” against defenseless citizens.
Vowing a swift response, Tinubu stated: “I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly, secure the release of abducted individuals, and restore normalcy to the region.”
The President made it clear that those responsible will face justice, insisting that no group attempting to destroy peace in Kaduna will succeed.
Extending his condolences to Governor Uba Sani and the affected families, Tinubu promised that the Federal Government will provide full support to restore safety.
Reaffirming his security strategy, he noted: “Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation.”
Finally, the President appealed directly to local residents, saying: “I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts.”
