The Chairman of the Control Committee, Mallam Ibrahim Attahiru, has expressed immense satisfaction with the quality of facilities inspected ahead of the upcoming 2026 National Beach Volleyball (Star/Open) Tour.

Attahiru gave the verdict following a comprehensive inspection of the venue on Friday, June 6.

He confirmed that the tournament is scheduled to serve off on Saturday, June 6, with players expected to battle for honors on the sand.

The sports administrator assured all participating teams of a conducive environment and a level playing field.

He said: “Members of the control committee are on-ground to assess the level of preparation, and I can confidently assure you that Kaduna State is fully ready to host the Beach Volleyball (Star/Open) Tour.

“The players are the major actors of this tournament, and our priority is to ensure they are comfortable. The technical meeting will hold tomorrow, June 6, and matches will commence immediately after.”

He further emphasized the importance of the tour as a scouting ground for national talent.

“We are expecting the best from the players because this tournament will serve as a platform for the commission to select players for upcoming African championships, including both age-grade and senior categories,” he added.

Attahiru urged the athletes to maintain a high level of discipline and showcase their best performances throughout the tour.

He also applauded the President of the CAVB Beach Volleyball Commission, Engineer Musa Nimrod, praising his unwavering contribution to the growth and development of the sport in the country and across the continent.
