Night of Terror: Gunmen abduct five villagers in fresh invasion in Kwara State

Panic and chaos gripped Odo-Ore in the Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State as ten unidentified gunmen stormed the town under the cover of night.

The attackers fired shots sporadically into the air, creating a scene of pandemonium that left residents defenseless and terrified.

Witnesses noted that the community lacked any police station or security presence to resist the assault or protect the inhabitants.

The terrorists specifically targeted the home of Alhaji Yusuf Yunusa, a well-known politician and school proprietor, forcing their way inside at gunpoint.

Reports indicate that Yunusa was preparing for bed around 11 p.m. when the assailants broke through his gate and front door.

While fleeing the community, the gunmen abducted four other residents, bringing the total number of victims to at least five.

Local residents believe the precision of the attack on the school proprietor suggests the involvement of informants within the community.

The Kwara State Police Command has yet to release an official statement or provide an update regarding the ongoing situation.
