Kwara government sanction floating of Kwara United Queens to boost women's sports

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has officially approved the establishment of Kwara United Queens Football Club to promote women’s sports.

The club’s newly appointed chairman, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Owolabi Wopa, warmly congratulated the management, staff, and players on this historic milestone.

Wopa described the approval as a massive win for women’s football that will greatly contribute to talent discovery and sports excellence in the state.

He also extended his sincere gratitude to the Kwara State Sports Commission for their dedication and invaluable support in securing the team’s approval.

The establishment of this new club reflects the state government’s ongoing commitment to expanding athletic opportunities for its youth.

Moving forward, Kwara United Queens FC will provide a premier platform for talented female footballers to showcase their skills on both national and international stages.
