Former CBN Governor Tunde Lemo Declares Interest in 2027 Ogun Governorship Election

Tunde Lemo, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has thrown his hat into the ring for the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State.

He made this announcement while participating in the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congresses at Ward 12, Ita-Agemo, Isale-Igbein, Abeokuta.

Lemo’s ambition is driven by his desire to boost grassroots development and tap into Ogun State’s vast agricultural potential through effective leadership.

He pledged to run an inclusive administration if elected and reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC.

He also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun’s efforts, particularly the agro-cargo airport project, and attributed the peaceful conduct of the ward congresses to President Bola Tinubu’s transformative policies.
