Technical Adviser of Katsina United, Mohammed Azeez, has blamed his side’s 3-0 defeat to Kwara United on the players’ failure to adhere to tactical instructions.
Azeez disclosed this while speaking with journalists during the post-match conference following the Matchday Three encounter at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbowl, Ilorin, over the weekend.
The tactician admitted that Kwara United were the better side on the day, adding that his team’s lack of concentration and failure to execute instructions contributed significantly to the defeat.
“The better side owned the game today. We lost it from the beginning; the boys didn’t play according to instructions.”
Azeez, however, said the Chanji Boys would learn from the setback and work towards correcting their mistakes ahead of their next fixture.
“There’s no problem about it. We just go back to trying to recover from the lost game and lost points,” he added.
Katsina United suffered a 3-0 defeat to Kwara United in the Matchday Three fixture, with the hosts securing their first win of the 2026/27 Euro-Match NPFL campaign.
The Chanji Boys will be hoping to return to winning ways when they host Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
