“They want to silence us” – VeryDarkMan reacts to EFCC probe petition

"They want to silence us" – VeryDarkMan reacts to EFCC probe petition

Outspoken social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has revealed that he received an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The anti-graft agency’s move follows a formal petition submitted by legal practitioner Blessing Agbomhere of Blessing Agbomhere & Partners.

Agbomhere’s petition demands a sweeping, comprehensive probe into the financial activities, sponsorship deals, and funding networks of both VeryDarkMan and activist-lawyer Deji Adeyanju.

Taking to his social media page to address the development, VeryDarkMan firmly rejected the move, describing the investigation as a calculated trap to muzzle government critics.

The controversial activist pointed fingers directly at the ruling class, alleging that prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are leveraging legal loopholes to suppress public outcry over governance failures.

“They want to stop us from speaking against this evil government that has failed to protect the lives of Nigerians. So, they used their people to write petitions,” VeryDarkMan wrote on his Instagram page.

Despite the pressure, the content creator hinted that the petition would not deter his online campaigns, even as the EFCC prepares to look into his financial backing.
