Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up about the latest tension between colleagues Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele, expressing disappointment over what she described as a breakdown of a previously agreed peace arrangement.
Her reaction comes just days after a viral moment at her movie premiere, where Funke Akindele appeared to publicly snub Toyin Abraham—an incident that quickly stirred reactions online and prompted calls for Iyabo’s intervention.
Addressing the situation in an Instagram post, Iyabo revealed that she had once played a key role in reconciling the two actresses. According to her, the terms of that reconciliation were clear: both parties agreed to avoid public confrontations and handle any disagreements privately.
“Unfortunately, Toyin made some complaints about her movie in cinemas claiming some people or person was trying to sabotage her, some fans pointed accusing fingers towards Funke, that sparked up a fresh beef,” she explained.
Iyabo further recounted the effort she put into restoring peace between them in the past. “I tried my very best to settle both of them, cried, knelt down, begged both parties to embrace peace which they both later did, reason you saw them a few months ago interacting with one another,” she said.
However, the recent developments appear to have left her frustrated and unwilling to step in again. Drawing a firm boundary, she added, “I honestly don’t want to get involved anymore. Please, you all should respect that.”
The situation has once again drawn public attention to the longstanding rivalry between the two actresses, with fans closely watching to see how it unfolds.
