Operatives of the Delta State Police Command’s Anti-Cult Unit, CACU have arrested 10 suspects and recovered suspected illicit drugs during a raid in Owhelogbo Community, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects, comprising seven females and three males, were arrested on Friday, September 4, 2026, at about 9:30 p.m.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Sunday.
According to Edafe, the operation followed credible intelligence on a suspect wanted in connection with an arson case reported in Owhelogbo Community in August.
He said CACU operatives from Ozoro raided a brothel in Abbi, where the wanted suspect was reportedly hiding.
During the operation, the police recovered Tramadol, Swinol, Canadian Loud and weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
The PPRO said profiling of the suspects was ongoing, adding that those found culpable would be prosecuted.
