The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has neutralized several terrorists in coordinated airstrikes conducted around Bukar Meram and the Mandara Mountains in Borno State.
NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed these details of the successful operation in an official statement on Wednesday.
Ejodame said the precision operations were carried out following credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance missions.
According to him, NAF air assets successfully destroyed terrorist logistics hubs, structures, and assembly points concealed within the enclaves.
He noted that the tactical strikes formed part of ongoing efforts to degrade terrorist capabilities and deny them freedom of action.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to sustained joint operations aimed at eliminating terrorism.
“The CAS stressed that intelligence-driven air operations will continue to identify and destroy terrorist hideouts, logistics networks, and operational bases wherever they exist,” Ejodame stated.
