Inter Lagos defender, Oshomo Olamilekan Tosin, has expressed optimism of an impressive debut appearance in the Euro-Match Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL  despite the club’s difficult start to the season.

Oshomo, while speaking with Kwara-based journalist Michael Odetunde via online, noted that the team is still process as they continue their search for their first point in the top flight.

The defender reiterated that Inter Lagos are still finding their feet in the Nigerian top-flight league following their promotion to the Euro-Match NPFL.

Speaking ahead of their Matchday 3 encounter against rivals Sporting Lagos, Oshomo said he is looking forward to the game, adding that his teammates are ready for the battle.

“In fact, that match is on my mind. I will put all my heart into playing, as I always do.”

Inter Lagos have endured a difficult start to the new season and remain winless after their opening two Euro-Match NPFL fixtures. However, Oshomo believes the squad has what it takes to recover.

The defender has played the full 90 minutes in each of Inter Lagos’ opening two matches of the campaign.

Oshomo also called on the club’s fans and supporters to rally behind the team ahead of the Sporting Lagos encounter and throughout the season.

He urged the supporters to continue standing by the team, particularly during difficult moments, as the players seek to improve their performances and results.

Inter Lagos began their campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Shooting Stars before suffering a narrow 1-0 home loss to Doma United.

The debutants will now lock horns with Sporting Lagos in the Euro-Match NPFL Matchday 3 fixture on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
