EFCC detains City Boy Movement leader Halimat Tejuosho over alleged fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has apprehended the suspended South-West Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Halimat Tejuosho, and took her to their into custody.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed her arrest to journalists on Saturday, stating that she remains in their holding facility.

Her arrest comes months after the anti-graft agency officially declared her a wanted person in April.

Investigative authorities had initially flagged her for allegedly obtaining money under false pretences.

“She is in our custody,” Oyewale stated, confirming the official execution of the arrest.

During the initial manhunt, the agency identified her as a Lagos State indigene last residing at Aso Grove Estate in Maitama Extension, Abuja.

At the time, the commission appealed to the public to provide actionable intelligence regarding her whereabouts to law enforcement.

Operatives finally tracked down and apprehended the political group figure following months of evasion.

The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation as detectives press forward with the investigation.
