Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and Nollywood actor Charles Okocha have reignited their rivalry ahead of their much-anticipated celebrity boxing rematch, scheduled to take place on July 31 in Lagos.
The pair engaged in a heated face-off during a pre-fight event on Friday, exchanging insults and mock punches before security officials intervened to prevent the situation from escalating.
Videos of the confrontation have since gone viral on social media, showing both entertainers standing face-to-face while a moderator attempted to restore order and keep attention on the upcoming bout.
Portable expressed confidence that he would secure another victory, insisting he had prepared thoroughly for the contest.
“I’m the man. I don prepare, I go win again. I go fight again.
I go beat Charles Okocha,” he declared.
Okocha, however, dismissed the singer’s taunts and challenged him to prove himself inside the ring.
“Can you save that for the ring? Don’t disrespect me.
I’m not your mate,” the actor responded.
The face-off has sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and celebrities sharing clips of the encounter and predicting the outcome of the rematch.
Organisers have confirmed that the boxing event will be streamed live.
The rematch follows their first celebrity boxing contest, where Portable defeated Okocha by unanimous decision.
Okocha later activated the rematch clause, setting up another highly anticipated showdown between the two entertainers.
