Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Sabinus has voiced strong frustration over how citizens demanding good governance are treated, questioning why people are discouraged from speaking out against the country’s growing challenges.
Taking to his social media page on Tuesday, the content creator lamented the hostile atmosphere surrounding public dialogue, pointing out that citizens who call for accountability are routinely told to keep quiet and stay in their lane.
He further observed that even when people choose to stay away from political discussions, they still face public insults and criticism, leaving everyday Nigerians caught in an unfair dilemma.
Urging citizens to rethink their silence, Sabinus questioned when Nigerians would finally stand together as a united voice to demand the fundamental rights and leadership benefits they are continuously being denied.
Sharing his concerns directly with his followers, Sabinus wrote: “A lot is going on in this country and we’re just keeping quiet. You demand for good governance, they tell you to mind your business.”
“You try to mind your business, they still insult you. When are we going to come as one and demand for what we’re being owed?” the skit maker asked.
His candid remarks have sparked widespread debate across social media, adding momentum to ongoing conversations surrounding civic duty, public accountability, and the urgent need for collective action.
