Barau FC have officially confirmed the list of players retained for the 2026/27 season following consultations between the club’s management and technical department.
In a statement signed by the club’s Director of Media, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, Barau FC expressed appreciation to all departing players for their dedication and contributions, wishing them success in their future careers.
The club added that the retained list reflects its ambition to maintain continuity and build on the progress recorded during the 2025/26 campaign as preparations intensify for the new season.
The retained players are:
Emeka Nwabulu, Chisom Chiaha, Oscar Destiny, Sugau Aliyu, Bismark Duah, Usman Maidubuji, Henry Ezeonye, Chisom Nkwocha, Orji Kalu and Jimmy Ambrose.
Others are Nura Muhammad, Moses Tsehuan, Sa’ad Tijjani, Ebuka Nwokorie, Sunday Anthony, Hillary Ekawu, Joseph Atule, Adamu Hussaini, Ibrahim Yunusa, Uche Moses, and Stanley Oganbor.
Barau FC finished 8th at the end of their debut season in the Nigeria top flight.
