The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the general public, stakeholders, members of the media, and party faithful to disregard a purported list of APC senatorial candidates currently circulating on social media and some online platforms.
In a statement issued on Thursday, June 4, 2026, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described the list as fake, stressing that it did not originate from the APC.
Morka reiterated that only the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, acting through its duly authorised communication channels, is empowered to announce the names of candidates emerging from the party’s primary elections and other constitutionally prescribed processes.
The APC further urged members and stakeholders to refrain from circulating unverified information capable of causing confusion, misleading the public, or undermining the integrity of the party’s democratic process.
The party assured members and the public that official information regarding its candidates would be communicated through recognised and authorised platforms.
