Fury-Joshua bout’s tickets sell out in 60 minutes

Tickets for the highly anticipated heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium have sold out just one hour after going on sale.

The all-British heavyweight clash is scheduled to headline a boxing event beginning on December 11, although the two fighters are not expected to enter the ring until the early hours of December 12.

The most expensive tickets were priced at £13,128, including booking fees, while the cheapest seats cost £88.50.

Organisers released 80,000 tickets at 12:00 BST on Friday, with demand soaring almost immediately. Within minutes, more than 500,000 people were reportedly waiting in the online queue to secure tickets for the blockbuster encounter.

However, tickets quickly appeared on resale platforms at significantly higher prices. Ringside VIP seats were advertised for as much as £73,645, while upper-tier tickets were listed for £425.

The fight, which was announced in September, will be broadcast globally on Netflix, further raising expectations for one of boxing’s most anticipated heavyweight contests.

Ringwalks are expected to begin at around 01:00 GMT on Saturday, December 12, following a short live music performance. The stadium is expected to remain open until 03:30 GMT.

The event is being promoted through a collaboration between Saudi boxing powerbroker Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and UFC president Dana White.

Organisers have yet to announce the undercard bouts for the event.
